Welcome

As regular users of the Putney to Blackfriars commuter service we are concerned to ensure the sustainable continuation of a great way to get to work.

agree - it's all most bland.

the clippers are not much faster (after all that fuss), claustrophobic, badly staffed, no room for a laptop, and worst of all they are now BUSIER! Where were you when we needed you to keep the Viscount afloat?

Saddened by my first trip on the new Clippers:

-No complimentary Tea.

-Unpleasant noise and lots of diesel on the back of the boat.

-Asked the Oyster ticket man when the boat would depart from Putney he didn't know.

-Flat screen TV showing ridiculous infinite looping advertisement for Bournemouth.

-Told I wasn't allowed to sit outside at the bow end when the boat was moving.

Maybe I am over nostalgic and need to move with the times?

I miss the £36/10 trips deal from Chelsea Harbour. As I have no use for a Travel Card and as I only rarely use the boat in the evening, the new service represents an 80% cost increase for me!

On the Clippers the Oyster PAYG price is £6.50, but if you have a Oyster Travelcard the price is £4.30, almost as before. Thames Clippers are handing out information so clearly others are confused as well.

I emailed Thames Clippers to ask how much a ticket from Cadogan Pier to Blackfriars is - it's £6.50 so the price has gone up considerably.

Hello Clare,

Thank you for your email.

If you were to travel from Chelsea to Blackfriars it would be the same cost as if you were to travel from Putney and a single ticket is £6.50.

Many thanks
